About Me

Robin Russell: Welcome to The Nest! My name is Robin Russell, and I am the Robin of The Robin's Nest Soaps. I fell in love with making goat milk soap in 2014 when a friend suggested I give it a try. She is a veteran soaper, and thought I would enjoy the process. She gave me a wooden mold, a recipe and some goat's milk. I was hooked after my first batch! I love things that are useful AND beautiful. There is just something about taking the simplest ingredients and turning them into something amazing. A little bit of personal info about me: I grew up in the beautiful cotton fields of northeast Louisiana. I was saved (born again) when I repented of my sin and trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour in 1983 while attending a youth camp at Bogg Springs, Arkansas. Seven years later, I married my high school sweetheart. We are currently living in the lovely Laurel Highlands of Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
