Mister

Let me introduce you to "Mister".  This is a new design and fragrance to The Robin's Nest Soaps! The fragrance is described as "Vibrant Bergamot and fresh basil leaf are complemented by earthy notes of Oakmoss and white patchouli." It is a WONDERFULLY clean scent!  This one is destined to become a best seller!!!

I did a version of the Clyde Slide technique for the upper portion of this soap.  It is scented with Barber Shoppe fragrance oil.  Given the name of the fragrance, I had originally thought I would do the colours/design of a barber shop pole.  But when it arrived yesterday, the scent was WAY too sophisticated for what I had intended!

When deciding on a name for this soap, I definitely wanted a manly name.  How much more manly can you get than "Mister"?!  By the way, that is what my Mama would call Daddy when she would speak of him in her Granny's Grub forum over on Mudflaps.  That was probably her favourite place to be on the internet before she passed away.  Thanks, Mr. Mud, for allowing her to have her own little nook on the net!  Click here to visit the Mudflaps forum, and click here to visit Granny's Grub.

*** Addendum ***

It's funny how everything looks, and sounds, like it would make a good bar of soap when you're a soaper!  After publishing the post above, I got to thinking about Mudflaps.  I think "Mudflaps" would be a great name for a man's soap!  Stay tuned...ha,ha!
