Here's a view from inside The Nest on this snowy day here in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. It is cold outside, but The Nest is nice and warm with the wood pellet stove burning. It's a perfect day to cut some soap! This is a new recipe. Well, it's actually my same wonderful recipe...I just replaced the palm oil with beef tallow after reading about its benefits. I rendered some beef tallow earlier this year. So, I decided to experiment. I am excited to try it!

Greetings from Iceland!  

The forecasters got this one right. We woke up to ice everywhere here at The Nest this morning. That solid sheet of ice is not a river... it's our driveway.
