Good news for my far away customers!!! After being closed for most of the year, my Etsy shop is now open.  

For my local customers, you can find The Robin's Nest Soaps at the Holly Bazaar going on now at The Community Art Center in Westmont.

I am SO EXCITED to participate in the Holly Bazaar again this year! I snagged this photo from  Community Arts Center of Cambria County facebook page. They have done a FABULOUS job displaying all the locally handmade items! The Robin's Nest Soaps display at the Bazaar is fully stocked with Goat Milk Soap and coordinating crochet cotton Soap Savers, Gift Sets, and new for the Bazaar this year...half-sized bars with wooden soap dishes. Come on over and say "hi" if you see me there restocking! 😊

Cool crisp days, fresh apple cider and spectacular autumn foliage...I love this time of year!!! My husband and I took a ride out to Airesman Orchard's on Saturday. They make the BEST apple cider! These are some scenes of the countryside we enjoyed along the way.

Visitors and Getting Ready...

 

Last week I was blessed to have my sister and her family come up from Louisiana for a visit!  This was their first time to visit the beautiful Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. My sister helped me trim, wrap and label soaps in preparation for this year's Holly Bazaar at the Community Art Center of Cambria County. We had a WONDERFUL time! My heart is full with the memories we made while they were here. God is so good to us! 😊

A View From The Nest: The Betsy Ross Project

 

Happy February!

It was a very cold and snowy January here in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. When I am not making soap, I like to crochet. Here is a project I finished this past Friday. A history-buff friend of mine was looking for someone to crochet this flag, and I was looking for a winter project. So, it was a win-win for both of us! I am a descendant of an American Revolutionary soldier, so that made this project a bit more meaningful to me.
