First Day of Spring

According to the calendar, today is the first day of spring. I did see a couple of robins in the yard yesterday. They were trying to find some earth amongst the patches of snow and ice still out there. My husband says that Alaska would completely thaw before we do! Ha, I think it's that Louisiana farmer's blood in him that is getting eager to plow the ground. 😉

You may recall the story behind this soap in my Tale of Two Sisters Soap blogpost.  It only seemed fitting to use Proverbs 3:5 on the label of this soap since Proverbs 3:5-6 was my Mama's favourite Bible verse.

This is the day!

 

A dear friend gave me this little ornament several years ago.  It hangs in my kitchen window. One day, while at the sink, the thought came to me... Every day is a gift from God...What did I do with it? Did I use it wisely, or waste it?

This little bird, and its saying, came back to my mind this morning as I updated the label on the Pink Grapefruit Soap.   I chose Psalm 118:24 for this soap.  "This is the day which the LORD hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it."  One thing I know I can do with this gift from God is REJOICE and BE GLAD in it!
