I've been working on another new soap this week. I'm calling it "Silk and Roses" because it contains both! I infused the lye solution with Tussah Silk. Silk has long been regarded as a premium ingredient...whether it be in fabric, cosmetics or soap. It gives a luxurious silky lather in soap. Here is a picture of the silk:
The top of this luxury goat milk soap is adorned with delicately dried roses from my sister's rose garden in Louisiana. She was kind enough to pick and dry them for me when they were in full bloom.
"Silk and Roses" is lightly scented with a romantic rose fragrance oil. Silk, roses, shea butter and goat milk combine to make this one beautifully feminine luxury soap. Here's the finished product on the curing rack:
