An Icy View From The Nest

Greetings from Iceland!  

The forecasters got this one right. We woke up to ice everywhere here at The Nest this morning. That solid sheet of ice is not a river... it's our driveway.

Tears In The Nest

There have been many tears in The Nest since Thursday. My aunt, Beverley, passed away. She was more than my aunt. She was like an older sister for a few years while she lived with us growing up. She was also one of my faithful supporters. She left us way too soon!

A New Egg in The Nest!

Uh-oh, there's a new egg in The Nest!  

 "Apple-licious" will be making its debut in a few weeks after the curing period. I was delighted to see a white dove in the design of two of the bars this morning when I cut the soap loaf. Totally unplanned!

Here is an early autumnal view from The Nest today! I thought Malachi 3:6 was a fitting verse for it. I thank God for the beauty He gives with each changing season. But, I'm MORE thankful that God changes not.

There's a delightful fragrance of lilacs on the breeze here at The Nest this morning. If you listen close you can hear the babbling creek across the way amidst the music of the orchestra of birds singing in the beautiful Laurel Highlands.
